Fourth Album

During the spring of 2025, I loaded up my Martin guitar & a head full of songs and traveled to San Marcos , TX to record my 4th album at Yellow Dog Studios, 'Trouble with the Wheel." The thread of people & places I've met, & traveled to, seem to often link this PNW songwriter to the wild west culture of cowboys, cactus & legendary Songwriters I've always been drawn to. The nature of the songs through storytelling, & the mystery in not knowing how each day will actually unfold, drives me towards these opportunities, & always will keep me entertained. I have had but one plan since I first picked up a guitar- to write & play original music. I am so grateful for so many chances to travel and deliver these songs, & feel like it's a sacred ground that moves under our feet, to be captured and shared at the drop of a hat, anywhere & everywhere. It's well known the art is often hindered by the cost & sacrifice of the time and expenses put forth, & hopefully it's a choice and feat that every human with the want-to can produce a product they stand by, & still afford food and shelter.

In a super cliche ‘I’m not in it for the money', 'but you get what you pay for', kind of fashion, I went to a legit studio I felt was a good fit for these 13 songs. I am super proud of the product, & it was most definitely time to offload these songs so I can push forward with more writing, more art.

As one can imagine, the travel, food, lodging, studio time while having no income for most of a month took a toll on the bottom line. I have never been the kind to ask, or beg for anything and music is no exception. Being raised in a blue collar world, with parents full of grit and grace, who taught my sisters and I to earn it, and make our own way, I will always live that way.

With that said, I must be open to all avenues to keep the wheels rolling & there is much more to do to print and fully wrap up this project. I am a labor worker/carpenter, turned singer-songwriter, learning as I go. I am so very appreciative of any and every thing anyone can do to help or donate & I will do everything I can to give it back with the product I put out. I am working on how to incorporate a pre-sale, merch package for anyone willing to help. A thank you doesn't even come close to what it means. I know the value of hard work & sacrifice. I expect nothing, but appreciate everything.

At the end of the day, we have our stories, songs & the people that helped build a life we dreamed of.
